So I box 2 days a week (Monday and Wednesday mornings) and I actually missed the first week of it but will be making it up in the coming weeks. I noticed that I was pretty sore after the class but now the day after I'm a little sore but not like how I was on Tuesday. That was a bad day. I could barely walk, every muscle in my body ached. It even hurt trying to sit down and stand up.

I have found that yoga does help ease the pain away and I'm in the process of buying more yoga DVD's so I don't have to go to the gym as much since it's a 30 minutes away. The boxing teacher we have is awesome and is actually teaching us to train like real boxers (in an hour) without the contact.

I'm going to try to get my measurements to share with you so that way when my class is done I can give you the full results.

I am trying to eat better. The kids now eat as many veggies as I do. They really love eating mushrooms, carrots (without ranch), tomatoes, black olives and "N" is starting to eat lettuce. It is hard though when "The Hubby" wants a choco taco (which I only had one but haven't had one in years).

I do take a daily vitamin, More Than A Multiple (you take three times a day before eating). For breakfast I drink Apex Vanilla Supreme meal replacement and then I have a small salad for lunch. I did put a new twist on it though, I added alfalfa sprouts to it and with all the veggies I have in the salad I don't really need dressing and I don't put cheese in it either.

I have noticed that I have changed my eating habits a lot in the past 10 years. When I was a teen I would go to Wendy's and order a fried chicken sandwich combo with fries, baked potato (with two butters and two sour creams) and a frosty. When I got my apartment I would eat steaks but would pile it high with sour cream (and not the light sour cream either). I put ranch on everything. I am surprised that I have made it to 28 years old. I wasn't overweight in the least, in fact I weighed only 95 pounds at that time even with all that crazy eating.

Now when I eat I use very little sour cream now (which I use the light or the fat free kind, whichever has the least calories). I use very little ranch and I don't use the light because I don't like the taste (sometimes I make my own using skim milk). I love my veggies now. Not everything I eat is fried.

When I go to work it actually makes me sick because everyone has to have a huge tub of ranch with everything they eat. We have these side salads and they are not that big maybe the size of small plate. We don't pile on the lettuce either, if I ordered that I would have ranch but I would use maybe half a teaspoon of it and throw the rest away. I have people that come in and seriously are 300+ lbs and need two 2oz containers of ranch for a small salad. That's not even including the chicken wings or pizza.

People wonder why the are disgustingly overweight. Maybe cut back on the calories, ranch dressing, fat intake and the sugar carbs. I still cheat once in a while but not like how I used to. I want my kids eating healthier and I think I'm doing a good job. We don't really use ranch, they are not allowed to use ranch with veggies. I don't like them using ketchup because of the sodium. I have us drinking V8 now. And I got the kids to drink it by telling them it's tomato soup which they love.

If you change the way you eat in front of your kids then they will change too. It has to be a family thing.

So I haven't done much with the site and there's no excuse for it. I just haven't wanted to and I've been busy with the kids and work. I have put my notice in with work so that way when the kids and I go back to Michigan I don't have to worry.

"The Hubby" and I have gone into an agreement and so here's the deal. None of us are happy out here in AZ., so the kids and I are flying up to Michigan for around four weeks to test out the waters and then if things go well we are moving back around November. "The Hubby" will be staying in Phoenix for a few months since his job won't let him move just yet but we'll still be seeing each other a few times a month when we fly.

I have also started Boxing 4 Fitness yesterday and how sore I feel. I even did a little more last night with some yoga stretches and then took a bath. Bad idea (with the bath) and now I'm walking around like I'm a 90 year old woman. I have to go in again tomorrow morning and will do so for the next five weeks.

I should be in some good shape when we go home. We aren't actually doing contact boxing either but we do put on handwraps and boxing gloves and train like boxers for an hour. If you ever do this, make sure to bring at least 2 water bottles with you.

I'm also trying to eat better and once I do that (lowering my fat intake and calories) I'm going to try Alli. So I will let you know how my boxing class goes as I do it.
