I wanted to say thank you to Mom Central for sending me this game that my kids really enjoy playing.  What's really cool is the fact that my 3 and 5 year old will play this together without me.  To me the game really does help with the sharing aspect, there are a few activities that she can't do with this game but "N" can so he ends up doing the ones she can't and giving her the prizes.

I guess I should tell you about the game before I start giving you ... (read more)

In "N's" quest for learning, I had done a lot of research and decided to buy this instead of the Leapster L-Max because I didn't want to pay the extra $20 to let "N" sit in front of the TV, since that one can hook up to it. Leap Frog has around 42 different games out and just so you know, the L-max games can be played on the regular Leapster. I also bought the rechargeable battery pack since I figured that he would play it and batteries are expensive for it.

I ... (read more)

While on our trip in Palm Desert, CA we were stuck in the hotel room because Palm Desert is really boring. So the kids and I walked over to Target and bought a few games. This was one of them because I know that "N" loves to play Bingo. This is cool because it has four interchangeable spinners: Math, Shapes and Colors, Numbers and an Animal/Word sounds one.

With the four spinners you also get four of the shape, number and animal/word sound bingo cards and also get 60 Tad ... (read more)

This game is really meant for 3+. It is a cute fun game. You can have up to four players and they come with these cute little chefs in four colors. You take the board out and you put your guys at your favorite food, roll the dice to see who goes first and away you go. The goal of the game is to be the first person to put the last ingredient on and open the little window for a surprise.

It comes with this cookbook as the object of the game. You pick out a recipe from  the cookbook ... (read more)

This is a really cute game and I thought it was fun for "N", "O" and me. On the box it says 3+ but I played it with my two and half year old just fine. It's fun because "N's" into puzzles and so I helped him put this cool zoo one together and then we got out the two booklets it comes with The Beginner for "O" and Advanced for "N". The puzzle has this coating on it that will let you use a dry erase pen (that it comes with) so you can circle what you need to find on the puzzle and then when ... (read more)

I don't ever remember playing this game but I remember having it in the attic. "N" loves this game and showed me how to play it. It's fun but the hardest part of it is trying the t ell him how to roll the dice. Other than that it's cool because you can make your own little bug. Depending on the number you roll on your dice is what body part you get to choose to have. You have to start with a 1 (for the body) then a 2 (for the head) and then 3-6 is either the legs, hat, teeth, whatever you ... (read more)

This too is a good game for kids. "N" and I have been playing this for around four months now. It took a little while for me to remember how to play and how to explain it to him but once it all clicked, then it is pretty good. I do let him win sometimes this because it can be a little hard for a four year old to play. It took me maybe a couple hours to actually get him to understand it. He loves it though. His favorite part is when he gets to jump over me and take my guy and when he gets to ... (read more)

This is a fun game for the family. "N" has had this for almost a year (and now we are only missing five cherries, not bad) and he, "O" and I will play it together. It's cool because he already know how to count, "O" knows for the most part how to count and they both love to spin the spinner. It did take a little while to explain to "N" what the rules of the game are, once he understood that then we were good to go.

"O" doesn't care about the rules but knows not to go out of turn. When ... (read more)

I gave the Jump Start to "N" to help him get ready for Kindergarten. He LOVES it. It says it's for 1st Grade Ages 5-7, "N" is 4 1/2 and it's a little above him yet since he can't read just yet. There are still other games he loves to do in it like the Math games. He has only unlocked two arcades as of yet (Reading and Math). It's a cool game because it's like a little city and you meet new people and you get to open new arcades to ... (read more)

We now have a NetFlix subscription and I rent the kids a DVD once in a while and yesterday we got this one. "N" and "O" really like this show. This is the only show that "O" will sit through so you know it must be good.

It goes along the same line as the Fridge Phonics with the phonics for each letter but I think it's better for the kids because they can really see what the letters are doing so they can understand what the letter is saying. On the Phonics toy some letters ... (read more)
