I have owned this for almost two years and I wish they had a try in your home before you buy. It is an awesome concept of being a gym elliptical machine that folds up. Not really the case. To start out, it costs around $800 or so plus you have to pay for shipping and no it doesn't come by UPS. It arrives on a semi truck because it's so heavy. Once you get it inside the fun begins because you get to put the bad, mamba jamba together. That only takes about four hours of questioning yourself.
Once together, you're good to go. In the NordicTrack store it felt solid. After we put it together it didn't so much. The whole point of it is that you can fold it up and wheel it where you need to go and/or fit. Yeah, I can't wheel it anywhere. It's really freaking heavy. It's nicer than the Horizon one I owned (which I loved and wish I still had) because you have the arm movement action too.
Another complaint I have is that the bottle holder can't hold any of my water bottles. When I'm on the machine, I don't like getting off to get a drink, I want to do my workout and get off when I'm done. So besides that fact that it feels a little wobbly, it now squeaks as I run on it. Really annoying.
They now have an updated version of it with a lot cooler features
- An MP3 player hookup.
- iFIT workout card technology-It's a card that's designed by a Certified Personal Trainer to help you reach your goal by by adjusting the machine accordingly and also tells you how to do certain workouts.
- NordicTrack eating guide.
- 16 resistance settings.
- Whisper quiet.
I bought mine shortly after they came out, I will give you this piece of information for free, like in certain cars, wait for the newness to wear off because then the manufacturer will make improvements accordingly. I don't know if I would buy the newer one or not just because of how I feel about mine, though it does have cool features.
So if you are still interested in this, go try it in the store. Do not but the black, green and silver one and wait a few months for the updated version because maybe since they redesigned it again, they will have the kinks worked out.
