Cooking Utensils:

Ingredients:

  • 1 1/2 cup Warm water
  • 1/4 cup Milk
  • 5 tsp. sugar (or 1 1/2 T)
  • 1 tsp. Salt
  • 1 1/2 T Butter (melted)
  • 1 Package Active Dry Yeast
  • 2 1/2 to 3 1/2 cups Flour, divided (get unbleached for your first time)
  • Nonstick spray

Directions:

1.) Run hot water in the large mixing bowl just so it's not cold. Add warm water and yeast in the bowl and stir until the yeast is dissolved. Melt the butter in the microwave (not to where it's spitting every where though), add milk, sugar and salt to the yeast liquid. Use a spoon to help incorporate then add 2 cups Flour. After incorporated, use the mixer with a dough hook.

2.) Use the mixer on Low or a 2 setting (if you have a Kitchenaid mixer) and add about 1/4 cup of Flour ever minute or so. Keep mixing until the bowl is mostly clean and isn't sticking anymore (no more than 10 minutes).

3.) Sprinkle a little flour on a clean kitchen surface and knead for another ten minutes, then spray another bowl with nonstick spray and place dough ball in and lightly coat with the spray, cover with a towel and let sit for 1 hour.

4.) Sprinkle a little more flour on a clean surface and gently form it into a rectangle twice as wide as the metal bread pan (that's coated with nonstick spray). After it's in a rectangle shape, roll the dough (like a cinnamon roll) and place the seam side down in the pan. The bread roll is awkward to move. Place a towel over the pan and let it rise again for another hour.

5.) Preheat oven to 400°F. Place bread pan in the oven for 30 minutes.

6.) Cool completely and enjoy.
